We have all heard that megs stars Rihanna and Pink turned down doing the Super Bowl halftime show in support of Colin Kaepernick and the NFL's stance on protesting. Jayz eve said in Ape ish that he (would or did ) turn down the coveted halftime show. However, Jermaine Dupri doesn’t think this is the way to go. He feels as though no one listens or pays enough attention to boycotts, and the platform is more valuable than that.
“Boycotts and marches don’t seem like they work to me, I’m sorry. I think they should send a message while they’re onstage, take advantage of your platform,” he tells TMZ.
“The more people speak on it, the more they talk about it, then the more people feel like it’s something they have to address. I feel like people ignore boycotts,” he continued.
Jermaine Dupri expressed that it’s okay to choose not to do the Super Bowl, but feels as though there should be more conversation surrounding it than ignoring it in a way.
